Here in the second half of the Christmas Calligraphy Workshop\, we begin to look to the festive pieces and learn to hand letter our very own Greetings Cards\, Gift Tags and Christmas Words and phrases all in time to create personalised memories for your loved ones – lovely! DESCRIPTION:Modern Calligraphy Workshops in Cheshire this Summer! \nMellor & Rose are delighted to be hosting our Beginners Modern Calligraphy Workshop at Neptune Chester on Wednesday  October 19th from 11am – 1:30pm. \nIn our easy going sessions\, we start from the very beginning. In the 2 and a half hours\, we cover the fundamentals of this modern and versatile style of calligraphy\, using a dip pen and a pot of ink. We’ll learn the entire alphabet; upper and lower case alphabets then we’ll progress onto joining up those individual letters to create words and phrases – we work on different papers to see how the ink reacts to glossier paper plus black ink on brown paper looks pretty lovely! From here\, we delve into the layout elements of hand lettering – looking into varying ways to put your designs on paper (not only on a straight line!) along with the use of ornaments to shape our designs and bring some pop! \nTake some time away from our screens and pick up a pen – possibly a new pen\, a pen we haven’t held before – a dip pen! In our workshops\, we use a metallic nib and to get the desired effect of lovely calligraphy\, we simply dip the nib into a pot of ink – a method rather therapeutic in itself. DESCRIPTION:Christmas Calligraphy at Daylesford Organic\, Cotswolds in Gloucestershire! \nBeverley\, Polly and Lucy Mellor from Mellor & Rose are delighted to welcome you back to their Christmas Calligraphy Workshop at Daylesford Organic on October 15th from 10am – 1pm. \n  \nHere’s what we’ll be getting up to \nDuring our special 3 Hour Workshop\, we’ll be kicking things off by learning the fundamentals of this stylish and elegant art form; how to hold the pen\, letter forms\, pressure strokes\, rhythm etc. We then continue onto the upper and lower alphabets\, moving onto words and phrases – this ensures we have a sold technique for us to really get into the Christmas spirit! Here in the second half of the Christmas Calligraphy Workshop\, we begin to look to the festive pieces and learn to hand letter our very own Greetings Cards\, Gift Tags and Christmas Words and phrases all in time to create personalised memories for your loved ones – lovely! We create our festive pieces using templates\, where we then transfer over the designs to Wall Art\, Cards\, Greetings and Tags etc. Ready made Christmas Stationery! \nTake some time away from our screens and pick up a pen – possibly a new pen\, a pen we haven’t held before – a dip pen! DESCRIPTION:Modern Calligraphy Workshops in Lancashire this Summer! \nMellor & Rose are delighted to be hosting our Beginners Modern Calligraphy Workshop at Neptune Southport on Thursday Thursday September 22nd 11am – 1:30pm. \nIn our easy going sessions\, we start from the very beginning. In the 2 and a half hours\, we cover the fundamentals of this modern and versatile style of calligraphy\, using a dip pen and a pot of ink. We’ll learn the entire alphabet; upper and lower case alphabets then we’ll progress onto joining up those individual letters to create words and phrases – we work on different papers to see how the ink reacts to glossier paper plus black ink on brown paper looks pretty lovely! From here\, we delve into the layout elements of hand lettering – looking into varying ways to put your designs on paper (not only on a straight line!) along with the use of ornaments to shape our designs and bring some pop! \nTake some time away from our screens and pick up a pen – possibly a new pen\, a pen we haven’t held before – a dip pen! In the 2 and a half hours\, we cover the fundamentals of this modern and versatile style of calligraphy\, using a dip pen and a pot of ink. We’ll learn the entire alphabet; upper and lower case alphabets then we’ll progress onto joining up those individual letters to create words and phrases – we work on different papers to see how the ink reacts to glossier paper plus black ink on brown paper looks pretty lovely! DESCRIPTION:Calligraphy Workshop in Lytham St Annes this Summer! \nMellor & Rose are delighted to be hosting our Modern Calligraphy Workshop at Lytham Hall\, Lytham St Annes on Wednesday June 22nd from 11am til 1:30pm. \nIn our easy going sessions\, we start from the very beginning. In the 2 and a half hours\, we cover the fundamentals of this modern and versatile style of calligraphy\, using a dip pen and a pot of ink. We’ll learn the entire alphabet; upper and lower case alphabets then we’ll progress onto joining up those individual letters to create words and phrases – we work on different papers to see how the ink reacts to glossier paper plus black ink on brown paper looks pretty lovely! From here\, we delve into the layout elements of hand lettering – looking into varying ways to put your designs on paper (not only on a straight line!) along with the use of ornaments to shape our designs and bring some pop! \nTake some time away from our screens and pick up a pen – possibly a new pen\, a pen we haven’t held before – a dip pen! In our workshops\, we use a metallic nib and to get the desired effect of lovely calligraphy\, we simply dip the nib into a pot of ink – a method rather therapeutic in itself.
