DESCRIPTION:The Joy of Calligraphy\n06.10.24\nWe’re delighted to be hosting our Beginners Modern Calligraphy workshop with our friends at Cedar Farm\, Ormskirk in Lancashire on Sunday October 6th from 11am – 1:30pm! £69 (same price as 2023) \nAll our Workshops are suitable for Complete Beginners and Intermediates (if you’ve picked up a dip pen before) as we work through the core fundamentals of Modern Calligraphy. Guided by expert tutors; Beverley Mellor and Lucy Mellor\, we’ll begin by learning the core fundamentals of Modern Calligraphy; how to hold the dip pen\, pressure strokes and rhythms that give calligraphy its characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower case alphabet\, how to link letters\, first words and phrases. We’ll also learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement our Calligraphy and Handlettering on luxe card stock and stationery pieces.
