Modern Calligraphy Workshop at The Sewing Institute

Join Beverley Mellor and Lucy Mellor for this 2.5 hour Modern Calligraphy Workshop at The Sewing Institute in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire on Wednesday August 31st from 6:30pm till 9pm.  Learn beautiful hand lettering in this stylish and relaxed form – during the Workshop we will be learning all the fundamentals of how to use a dip pen and ink, how to achieve the pressure strokes that give Calligraphy it’s characteristic look and mastering letterforms. We will move onto linking letters, first words and phrases supported by plenty of one-to-one tuition with 2 tutors – we will then move onto adding flourishes and decorative foliage to compliment your Calligraphy and finish with lettering up our own stationery items as well as some inspiring lettered wall art pieces.


Included is a fully comprehensive Starter Kit, Calligraphy Workbook (upper and lower case alphabet, letterforms, Wall Art, Decorative Illustrations) and Luxe Stationery Items along with refreshments. All items in the Box are yours to keep and take home to practice with!
