To celebrate the magic of manuscript art and mark the arrival of our new exhibition, Words on the Wave: Ireland and St Gallen in Early Medieval Europe, we are delighted to host a live calligraphy workshop with Mellor & Rose at the National Museum of Ireland, Kildare Street.
Mellor & Rose is a family of women lettering artists – Beverley Mellor and daughters Polly and Lucy – who have been sharing their passion for calligraphy since founding their multidisciplinary design studio in 2018. Known for their beautifully crafted Modern Calligraphy, Brush Lettering, and Chalk Lettering workshops, they bring a fresh, mindful, and joyful approach to the art of writing.
This evening workshop will begin at 6:00pm and run for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. All materials will be provided, and no previous experience is necessary.

• €35 standard ticket
• €40 ticket + exhibition catalogue (catalogue valued at €20)
Limited to 30 participants.
Please arrive 15 minutes early and check in at reception.
Access to the “words on the wave” exhibition will be available after the workshop as part of the late night openings on Thursday nights.
