Modern Calligraphy is fun to learn and relaxing to practice. Join us in Wrexham, Wales on our Brush Calligraphy Workshop with Summer theme and start your Calligraphy journey with this mindful, creative pastime and art form.
Guided by expert tutors; Lucy Mellor and Polly Mellor, you will begin by covering the fundamentals of how to hold the brush pen, learning the pressures and rhythms that give calligraphy its characteristic contrasting strokes before moving onto learning the upper and lower alphabet, how to link letters, first words and phrases. You will learn how to draw decorative illustrations and flourishes to complement your calligraphy lettering on stationery pieces. The second half of the workshop covers how to lay out greeting card, letter up and design a piece of wall art along with luxury stationery items.

We’re Mellor & Rose Calligraphy; Calligraphers and Lettering Artists based in Lytham St Annes, North West of England. Made up of Beverley Mellor, Polly Mellor and Lucy Mellor – Mellor & Rose is a family business who are passionate about sharing the Joys of Calligraphy and all the wonderful and creative benefits it brings. SOME KIND WORDS
Lovely modern calligraphy session with the M&R team last Thursday evening. Great pace & way of teaching, attention to detail, fabulous resources (and tea & biscuits), gorgeous people and we created some pretty amazing work for our first try!
