We host Calligraphy and Lettering Workshops and up until the Coronavirus, we hosted in-person Workshops with groups of people all looking do something rather lovely and creative with a group of like minded people - that in itself is wonderful when you think about it and something we’re incredibly excited to get back to. During our Workshops, we were kept being told how therapeutic and relaxing our Workshops were - being in the Workshop gave us permission to slow down and take us down a notch or 2. Mindful Calligraphy is certainly something we want to promote and continue to share with everyone. If there was something which was bothering us or something lingering in the back of our minds, it gradually faded away for an hour or so as we fully immersed ourselves in the world of calligraphy and creativity. When you think about it, whenever we concentrate on something, we gain focus and other things drift away in our minds.
Having a hobby or learning a new skill is wonderful for make sure we have enough me time and also gives a bit of perspective. Mindful Calligraphy may be your practice of Mindfulness and if it is, that's wonderful. For me personally, practising Mindful Calligraphy here and there does me a world of good and if this has a chance of doing the same for you, then we're smiling!
