Christmas Calligraphy at Cass Art Liverpool, Merseyside!
Beverley Mellor and Lucy Mellor from Mellor & Rose are delighted to welcome you back to their special themed 2.5 hour Christmas Calligraphy Workshop at Cass Art, Liverpool City Centre on Saturday October 8th from 2pm – 4:30pm.
During the special themed Christmas Calligraphy Workshop we will be learning all the fundamentals of how to use a dip pen and ink, how to achieve the pressure strokes that give Calligraphy it’s characteristic energetic look and mastering letterforms. We will move onto linking letters, festive words and Christmas phrases supported by plenty of one to one guidance by 2 expert tutors – we will then move onto adding flourishes and drawing decorative foliage to compliment your Christmas Calligraphy and finish with designing our own Greetings Cards and Stationery with seasonal touches as well as some inspiring lettered wall art pieces.
During the second half of the the Christmas Workshop, we will also look at how to layout Greeting Cards, letter up and design a piece of Wall Art along with luxury Stationery Items for your Calligraphy. Here, we begin to feel calm, our breathe begins to slow and we get into the rhythm of Calligraphy, appreciating every stroke with the pen.
Included is a Modern Calligraphy Kit, with Dip pen, nib and ink with our Mellor & Rose Christmas Calligraphy lettering guides, templates and Worksheets. The comprehensive Starter Kit includes all materials for the workshop and beyond – along with Luxe Christmas Stationery Items and seasonal place name cards (a lovely touch for your festive table).
